This pro­posed mur­al for the The­ater of the Fac­ul­ty of Fine Arts presents the wall as a cel­e­bra­to­ry space that brings togeth­er orna­ment, sym­bol­ism, and archi­tec­tur­al grandeur. Through the lay­er­ing of geo­met­ric and dec­o­ra­tive ele­ments with­in an orga­nized visu­al struc­ture, the com­po­si­tion cre­ates a rich rhythm that reflects the cul­tur­al and artis­tic char­ac­ter of the place.
The vari­ety of materials—mosaic, carved mar­ble, col­ored ceram­ic, and glass pieces—also gives the sur­face a clear visu­al and mate­r­i­al rich­ness, allow­ing the mur­al to emerge as a dis­tinc­tive archi­tec­tur­al land­mark that rein­forces the theater’s iden­ti­ty and gives it a con­tem­po­rary artis­tic pres­ence.
